FAQ

When will I need to RSVP?

Please RSVP by June 30, 2025.

When should I book my flight?

While everyone’s travel plans will vary, we recommend booking your flight to Santiago (STI) sooner rather than later, as flights can fill up quickly. Please fill out the flight information form linked below once your flight has been booked!

JetBlue often offers competitive rates to the Dominican Republic, thanks to their strong route network and frequent flights from major U.S. cities. We encourage you to monitor flights to find what works best for you.

How will we get to Jarabacoa from Cibao International Airport (STI)?

If you're flying into Cibao International Airport (STI), we kindly ask that you plan to arrive by around 1:00 PM on Friday, November 21. This will help us coordinate smooth group transportation to Hotel Pinar Dorado and get everyone settled in with ease. Please fill out the flight information form linked below once your flight has been booked.

We’ll be arranging shuttles for the most common arrival and departure times on Friday, November 21 and Sunday, November 23.

If your flight arrives later in the day, transportation may be limited after hotel check-in. You may need to arrange your own transfer to Jarabacoa, and we’re happy to recommend options if needed.

What if I’m planning additional travel?

Awesome! We know some guests may be arriving from different places or extending their trip after the wedding. While we’re coordinating group transportation between STI and the hotel on November 21 and 23, Coco Tours is a well-regarded option if you’d like to book your own transfer outside of those dates and windows or if you’re traveling beyond Jarabacoa and Santiago.

Exploring Jarabacoa & Beyond

Thinking of extending your trip?

Late November is a beautiful time to visit the Dominican Republic. The weather is warm but not too hot, the mountain air is crisp, and the beaches are just as dreamy as you’d hope. It’s the perfect time to slow down, explore somewhere new, or simply enjoy a change of scenery.

Jarabacoa is landlocked and tucked high in the mountains, so beach towns and other destinations we’ve listed below are a few hours away, but absolutely worth the trip.

If you’re staying local, there’s plenty to enjoy in and around Jarabacoa. Waterfall hikes, river rafting, horseback riding, and some seriously good food. We’re also planning a relaxed group outing the morning before the wedding for wedding guests who want to explore. More details to come!

We’re currently working on finalizing group transportation for airport arrivals and departures. If you’re planning to explore beyond Jarabacoa on your own, we’ll also be sharing trusted car transfer options to help make getting around easier.

And if you’re thinking about extending your trip and want tips or ideas as your start to plan, just reach out!

The Start of Always

It all started at Petey’s Burger in Astoria in 2012, where Solomon was working behind the counter, and Rubi walked in for what turned out to be much more than just a milkshake and fries. Now, we call Astoria home, the neighborhood where Solomon grew up, where we both attended the same high school without ever meeting, and where our story truly began.

We had mutual friends for years, but life kept us on separate paths until the timing was just right. We became good friends first, spending years getting to know each other, but everything changed in 2016 when Solomon returned from college. From that moment on, we couldn’t get enough of each other, and our journey as a couple officially began.

Fast forward to 2023: Solomon got down on one knee in Dominican Republic, surrounded by Rubi’s family (not too far away from where our wedding will take place!) It was the perfect setting to take the next step in our story, which is why it feels so meaningful to celebrate our wedding there, surrounded by the people we love most.

Thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together.

Flight Information & Airport Transfer

Please share your flight details below so we can coordinate your airport transfer and finalize your stay.

We’re offering group transportation options on November 21 (arrival) and November 23 (departure) for guests flying into and out of STI – Cibao International Airport. To ensure a smooth experience, we ask that guests using the group transfer arrive at STI by 1 PM on November 21. This will allow time to check in and get settled before our welcome party that evening.

If you are arriving earlier in the week, staying later, or simply not using the group transfer, you are welcome to arrange your own transportation. There are plenty of easy and reliable options available in the area.

Passport Reminder: While the Dominican Republic only requires your passport to be valid at the time of entry and exit, many airlines follow a six-month validity rule. To avoid any travel issues, we recommend that your passport is valid for at least six months after your return date.

Please submit your flight details by the end of September so we can coordinate everything smoothly.
